Lion Country Safari

Giraffes (Long prehensile tongue extends it reach by 15 in.)
We went to Lion Country Safari December 31, 2011, just before we left J.W. Corbett W.M.A., and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I forgot the camera (I know, I know) so Laton took these pics with his cell phone through the glass windows. I think they turned out very well.
Nile Lechwe (Here's looking at you, kid)

Female African Lion

Male African Lion

Greater Kudu (world's 2nd largest antelope)

Asiatic Water Buffalo

Rhea (a real stay at home dad, HE builds the nest, incubates the egg and raises the young)

Southern White Rhinoceros (more docile than a black rhino)

Another Rhino (they have poor eyesight but excellent hearing and smell)

Grant's Zebra (do you suppose they wonder if these stripes make their butt look big?)
