Deer Hunting
Made it home, unpacked, cleaned up everything and repacked for hunting. Found a lovely campsite and Laton hunted hard for several days but ended up empty handed. No deer sightings. Such a lovely sunset.

Scrapbooking all Day!
I signed up for an all day crop and actually accomplished quite a few layouts. Such fun socializing and meeting new people!

Scouting for Deer
We scouted out Unit 19a in Arizona, near Prescott, AZ. We found the cutest little community called Cherry off of I-17 and Hwy 169A. No deer but lot of dirt road driving!

Scraptember
Finished another layout. I really like working from sketches. All I have to do is pick out paper, pics and embellishments. Makes the process simple. This is Steve’s 40th Birthday. Geez, he was 4 just a few weeks ago in my mind!

It was a fun layout. Here is a link to a few of our tea parties here at the trailer park.

Scraptember!
I joined a group that creates a scrapbook layout each day in September. The gal provides a sketch and then everyone runs with it and they post the results each day. It’s amazing to see the jump off sketch transform into an actual layout.
I wanted to use these pics of my dad on a boat ride up the Klamath river the year he passed away. My brother Ray took him up river and posted the pics. Such a great memory shared showing Dad doing something he loved.

Can’t Catch a Break?
This is the month of NEW TRANSMISSIONS! And you thought it was August!
The Ford F-250 needs one now! It’s in the shop in Wells, NV.
Affectionately known as Big Blue, needs a new tranny! This will be the 2nd one for him. Laton plans on having this one beefed up a bit. Hopefully, it will last longer.

Going Home?
Laton and I had a few days off so we decided to head to Picacho and do a check up on the park model. There had been several inches of rain and a lot of monsoon storms. House was okay, but unfortunately, our car barely made it home. Instead of four days in AZ, we spent eight days while the new transmission was put in our car. We were very lucky to have good friends and our son, Lee, help us out with errands!
Ethan and Major struggling to sit closet to me. I felt so loved! Lol
Got to spend some time with our very cute and funny grandson, Ethan. I got 3 months of dust off the floors but still needed to dust the furniture. Ethan scolded me and told me my house was very dirty! Out of the mouthes of babes!

Banana Bread in a Cup
I had a couple of black bananas and found this recipe for banana bread in a cup cooked in the microwave. OH MY GOODNESS (OMG) it was delicious. I got it from this blog https://passthesushi.com/banana-bread-in-a-mug/
Definitely making this again, and soon I can move onto pumpkin 🎃 spice to match my cup. Lol!

Major
I got the cutest puppy picture of Major with a carrot. Sarah sent me some baby pics!
For those that don’t know, Major came to live with us when Ethan was a baby because he had dog allergies at the time. So he is actually our granddog!

Major’s Favorite Treat
Major loves fresh carrots. He will walk around holding it in his mouth for several minutes befor finally chomping it down.

Darn Big Boot
Elko has several big boots around the community, painted to match the business they are in front of. This is one of my favorites. It is in front of a jewelry store, of course.
After researching, I found this was a centennial project for Elko. Click here for info!

Angel Lake
Angel Lake USFS campground is 2,000 feet higher than us and 4 miles further up the road. It has a beautiful alpine lake stocked with fish and some wonderful hiking trails and access to more lakes. Laton and I were getting it ready to open on Friday and I had a chance to take a picture or two of the surrounding mountains.

Beautiful Evening
Today was laundry day! Not my favorite activity but the laundry mat here in Wells is old but clean and pleasant. I meant to do it a few days ago when I only had two loads, but now I’m up to three. I have a fun laundry mat story. Here is the link: click here.
The best part of my day was coming back to the campground to find a fire and my favorite Nathan’s hot dogs waiting for me! I have the best hubby.

Dessert for Dinner
I remember over the years my parents referencing they had dessert for dinner. I guess with young kids at home and a driving need to fill them up with nutritious foods, it did not compute.
Now that it is the two of us, sometimes dinner just doesn’t sound good, neither of us want to cook so every once in a while we have dessert for dinner, usually banana splits suffices.

Thomas Canyon
We had a meeting at Thomas Canyon, about 100 miles away, and it was fun and informative meeting up with other camp hosts and seeing a different campground.
Here are some great pictures from our day trip. The campground has the prettiest stream flowing through it and many sites at water edge.
