We spent the morning at the
Big Island Rendezvous and it was a lot of fun. Over 1,200 "living history" re-enactors carry on their day-to-day lifestyles, as it would have been done over 200 years ago in the New World. The festival celebrates the history of the fur trade period (1650 - 1840) and early Frontier America (1750-1870) including the Civil War Era and Pioneer Settlement (1840-1865).

Later this afternoon we traveled to Wisconsin and are staying at
Perrot State Park, right on the Mississippi River. There is a lot of fall foliage and the weather report said it will be down to 36 degrees in the morning. BURRRRRR!
