Fun Little Project

Since we travel quite a bit, my purse is a purse, a tote bag, an overnight bag and a snack bag at different times. Needless to say, every time I pull something out it is usually tangled up with my earbuds. So I converted my scrubbie pattern into a little drawstring bag and crochet a cover for the cords. Pretty pleased with how it turned out.

Bingo is my name! Here is a cute little Bingo bag I made to hold my dabbers and money for Bingo night. It was a fun project.  Click here for the directions.

Happy Birthday Laton!

Our sons planned a surprise birthday party for Laton with a Route 66 theme. Guess his age! (wink, wink). It was a fun evening with grilled marinated beef, beer and an awesome cake.

Exploding Handbags

Check out these fun paper purses! I spent the day folding paper with a friend, Anni. When you unlatch the purse, it folds open to show off your photos. Wouldn't this be a fun gift for a birthday or bridal shower or bridal gift?

Herringbone Bead Bracelet

This was a fun bracelet to create. My friend, Anni, taught me how to make this using twin beads.  It is not elastic and requires your wrist measurement to finish it.

Things A'Changing

It has been a while since I have posted on our blog. I was trying to figure out why the delay. I think the fact that I post regularly on Facebook is part of that answer.  I hardly power up the laptop anymore since I have an I-Phone. I am going to be posting more often now that we are planning on spending most of the summer in Arizona with side trips for some entertainment. Stay tuned for some fun information and facts about things to do around Arizona.

Laton and I are celebrating our 44th wedding anniversary on April 15, 2015. I thought I would share this with you. He is still my best friend, the love of my life and my rock!

Memories

Laton and I have been checking out the 2nd hand stores for a few things to finish up our winter home. I came across this plate. This is the pattern Laton and I had for our first dinner set when we were first married. I got the set with S&H Greenstamps (remember those?). My Nana, Ruby Rook, gave us several books of stamps as a shower gift. Sweet Memories!
