Celebrating

Today is my birthday! Not going to put out a number but it’s more than “29”. It was a peaceful, relaxing day. Heard from all my children. I really enjoyed that. I ordered a cordless vacuum cleaner for the RV and a shipment of scrapbooking supplies arrived. All in all, a very nice celebration! 

We saw some wild horses on our drive from town. There are some baby owls hanging out in the campground. I will try to get a picture. Laton saw turkeys today. We hear them all the time. They really do gobble. Lol

We had lovely spring weather the first two weeks and then a winter storm moved in. 

Happy Mother’s Day

I had a wonderful day, being totally spoiled by my hubby, even though I’m not his mother! Lol. I heard from all my children which I enjoyed very much. I sent several greetings to friends and family and received  lots of responses back. 

Sarah, Ethan and Lee sent me this picture! So sweet! I’m a lucky mom, wife and g-ma! 

Sharing a Recipe

Today is cold, high winds and rain and sleet. Had a campground inspection by USFS today. It went very well and actually have another camper in the park. What hardy souls!

Enchilada Casserole Bubble Up 

I left out the green chilies and used a small 5 biscuit can of Pillsbury biscuits. And of course I doubled the cheese. It was wonderful!  I topped it with lettuce, tomatoes, onions and sliced avocados. I don’t have a picture because we inhaled it immediately. I guess I could show you my empty plate. 

Major

Our Major is very happy! He looks a little grumpy in this picture. Backstory-Laton wouldn’t let him chase the wild turkeys!

Getting Settled

We have arrived and are settling in here at Angel Creek Campground. The campground opens 5-7-21but we opened the gates tonight (it is now 5-6-21) and have one couple in the campground. The water was just turned on 5-5-21, the sites are all clean and bathrooms are sparkling. We worked hard today. If you are passing through please stop and say HI! 

Snow on the mountains and Angel Lake above is still closed. 

We heard wild turkeys gobbling away the last three days.
