Laton and I have been checking out the 2nd hand stores for a few things to finish up our winter home. I came across this plate. This is the pattern Laton and I had for our first dinner set when we were first married. I got the set with S&H Greenstamps (remember those?). My Nana, Ruby Rook, gave us several books of stamps as a shower gift. Sweet Memories!

Another Winter Home Update

We have finally put in the new kitchen ceiling, counter tops and bar.

I am loving my copper sink. I did a lot of research and supposedly it is anti-bacterial. I thought that was pretty cool.

Hay Bale Gardening

Today was a fun day. There was an Easter Potluck with all the other residents that are still left here at Picacho Peak RV Resort.  Lots of good food and fun conversation.

Happy Birthday Vance!

Today is Vance's birthday. He had a party at a park last week.
He is 3 today.  Such a big boy.
His mom said he loooooovvvvveeeees Batman!

We have a Shower!

Here is the round tempered glass shower we installed.  We are thrilled with how it is turning out. Since we installed a corner sink, we actually have room to turn around in this teeny tiny bathroom.

Update on the Snowbird Nest

Here are some updated pics of the holes in the floors from my last post.  We have put in all new plumbing, repaired the holes and added a new sub-floor.  Bathroom toilet and sink are installed.

Will continue to keep you updated.

The Gourd Sistahs!

Anni, Lee & I created some gourd bird houses. They sure turned out cute. We were very happy with the results.

A Gourd Run

My new favorite hobby is painting and carving gourds. I took a class here at Picacho Peak RV Resort and now there is no stopping me.  I took a trip to Wurtz Gourd Farm with some neighbors and had so much fun. My creative juices are flowing.  I found some great designs on line at a company called Dover Publications. I am finding a lot of my scrapbooking supplies translate well into gourd use. LOL What could be better?

Pine Needle Basket

I have been having a lot of fun with the different craft classes here at Picacho Peak RV Resort. Here is a pine needle basket I made. I will be working on one that has a polished flat stone as the base. I am very excited to finish it.  The teacher is a Canadian lady, Dorothy. She is very generous with her knowledge and talent.

Vance hit a hole in one from 15 feet and he isn't even 3 yet. We were pretty proud of him!

Palatki Heritage Site

There was a job opening at Palatki Heritage Site. We took a Sunday drive up to Sedona, AZ to check it out.  It is a wonderful area.  Click HERE to see a 14 min video of the site. It is awesome.

We didn't take the job for this summer but it is definitely on our bucket list.

We were a little worried about the heat for the summer and the rattlesnake danger to Maggie.
