Halfway Point

 We are at the half way point on our trip and getting ready to head back home through Canada.

Can't get enough of views like this!

Portage Lake

 We are headed down the Kenai Peninsula and are camping at a State Park at Portage Lake.

The scenery is wonderful but the weather has been overcast with a lot of rain.  The mosquitoes are huge and numerous. There are a lot of fellow tourists.

Kind of wish we had come here 20 years ago.

One of the fun reasons we headed to Alaska (besides just wanting to experience it) was to visit with our friends Ed & Marie. We met them last summer while workamping in Colorado. They were our co-workers that summer. They were working the summer at Cantwell RV Park.

We had a fun drive up through Denali National Park.

Kluane Lake

 This is Kluane Lake in the Yukon Territory. We enjoyed this view while we stopped to have lunch. We have seen mountain goats, bear, bison, moose and caribou. This is so exciting.

North to Alaska

 We are on a three week camping trip through Canada to Alaska and home again. We started today in Olympia having breakfast with our dear friends Rich and Doris.

Then we crossed into Canada through Vancouver.

Finally camping and roasting hot dogs for the evening.  This is actually fun!
