April Card

I belong to a fun card swap and here is my offering for the month of April.  I was going to do something for Easter but am stuck on butterflies. I love our paper pack called Wings from Close To My Heart.  I dry embossed butterflies on some leaf green card stock and sanded the lines so they would stand out (CTMH card stock is one of the few on the market with a white core so your sanding really stands out!). I stamped a butterfly in black ink, cut it out, glued the middle down so the butterfly wings will pop up.  I love the inside:

knows the song in your heart,
and will sing it back to you
when you forget the words.

Our 39th Anniversary

April 15, 1972 Laton & Carrie Hammond
We had dinner at the Cher-Ae Heights Casino in Trinidad. The bread pudding with rum sauce was a great meal topper. We played a few slots and came home $17 richer. WOW! I know, I know! Fantastic win!

Check out this young couple. It was a wonderful and happy day for us!

Baby Blanket Mania

Thank goodness Lumara told me she was surprised at how many baby blankets she is using because I have a stack of flannel and yarn to get out of my tiny craft space so I can move onto card making and scrap booking. BWHAAAAAHAAAAA!

Here is my latest.  I love the practice of using brighter colors now.  This one ended up being snow white and lime green so it matches the rag quilt and also the nursery theme my daughter has chosen.

Boosted!

Our cell signal is very poor in many of the areas we camp host.  We purchased a cell signal booster and it allowed internet access on the mobile web through our phone service until it died a few months ago.  Luckily it was under warranty and we had it replaced and it lasted a week.  Now it is not under warranty...go figure!  We purchased a new and better one today and once again we are cruising the internet super highway...check out my BFF!

Baby Rag Quilt

I spent the night with my friend Carlene in Crescent City and we worked on a baby rag quilt.  We worked well together. Carlene cut, I pieced, Carlene stitched and I ironed and here is the completed baby quilt!
